Education Coordinator - Sandy Romero

We are pleased to formally announce that Sandy Romero has joined the MPPP staff as incoming Education Coordinator. A long time volunteer with MPPP, Sandy oversees the school curriculum program “Discovering Mesa Prieta: The Petroglyphs of Northern New Mexico and the

People Who Made Them”.  The program is a bilingual STEM-based curriculum, that celebrates Puebloan and Hispano history and culture through Mesa Prieta petroglyphs and hands-on activities.
Sandy is the after-school coordinator in nearby Dixon, as well as an active docent and award-winning volunteer for the Project, and brings a wealth of experience and energy to her position. Esta Gutierrez, our long-time, much-treasured Education Coordinator for the Project plans to retire. Esta along with retired educator and volunteer Judith Chaddick have been working to bring Sandy into the fold. Sandy can also be found at most events - she has been pivotal in keeping things running smoothly during our fundraising activities. Don't be shy, walk on up and introduce yourself!
Please help us give her a warm welcome to the MPPP family.
