Dr. Richard Ford has contributed countless hours to the Mesa Prieta Petroglyph Project. He participated for many years in the Summer Youth Intern Program as a mentoring archaeologist since the program
began in 2002.

BLM Archaeologist Paul Williams was instrumental in starting the Summer Youth Intern Program  Even past retirement , "Pablo" continued to support all Mesa Prieta Petroglyph Project activities.  Sadly, Pablo passed on in 2021.

It is the volunteers, working as recorders and surveyors in teams, tour docents and with other project activities, who ultimately make the project possible.
Annually, they contribute over 5000 hours and thousands of miles to the project.
