Exciting News for Mesa Prieta's
Data Preservation and Research Efforts!

We’re thrilled to announce a generous donation that has allowed us to take the first big step in upgrading our data storage! Thanks to your support, we’ve acquired the first piece of our multi-backup solution—a 140 TB storage system to securely archive over 25 years of collected data. This system is designed to grow with us and protect this invaluable resource for years to come.
But we’re not stopping here! This is just the beginning of a robust system that will include incremental and offsite backups, advanced RAID-ZFS technology, and redundancy safeguards to ensure data safety under any circumstances.

RAID-ZFS provides superior protection for our data with built-in error detection, self-healing capabilities, and the ability to withstand multiple drive failures without losing a single piece of information. This system ensures our archives remain intact and accessible for both preservation and research.
What’s more, this upgraded system is not just about backups—it will also be a powerful tool for research. With our data securely stored and easily accessible, researchers can dive deeper into the rich cultural history of Mesa Prieta, unlocking new insights and helping to expand our understanding of this important archaeological resource.
Your donations make these upgrades possible. With your continued support, we can implement cutting-edge recording technology, enhance our archiving capabilities, and protect these irreplaceable cultural treasures for future generations.

Stay tuned for updates on the next stages of our backup system—and if you’d like to help us reach these important milestones, please donate HERE:                                       Thank you for being part of this journey to protect and preserve Mesa Prieta's rich cultural legacy!
